Fresenius Medical Care Vrsac

Our client, Fresenius Medical Care, is the world’s leading provider of products and services for individuals with renal diseases.

The client decided to reconstruct its facility in Vrsac.

The high-bay warehouse within the complex for the medical devices production has a footprint of 203.8 x 55.10 meters. The reconstructed portion of the building has a footprint of 88.85 x 47.05 meters. Building heights are 10.95 m and 16 m.

Oktopaz provided construction supervision and health & safety coordination. Our construction supervision covered architecture, structural works and materials, energy efficiency, fire safety, water supply and sewage, electrical systems, thermo-technical systems, and process building services.

During this exciting project, through a series of structural interventions and changes, new production rooms were created in the part of the building that until then was used as a high-bay warehouse.

Among other things, cleanrooms were constructed – rooms that enable high-precision production and research through a controlled environment. All surfaces in the cleanrooms are smooth, impervious, dust-free, solid, accessible, easy to clean, and free of bumps and dents.

Along the southeast façade of the building, a traffic road of the required width for manoeuvring fire engines under emergency conditions was built. A truck plateau was constructed. Parking is provided for employees and visitors.
