Construction Supervision: Hipol Odzaci
23. July 2025

Green energy is energy obtained from renewable sources that do not pollute the environment or have a minimal impact on it. It is usually considered clean and renewable, with the principal sources being sunlight, wind and water.

Energy from the sun (solar energy) is a renewable energy source that uses sunlight to produce electricity using photovoltaic cells or thermal energy to heat water or space.

Oktopaz provides construction supervision during the construction of a photovoltaic power plant in Odžaci, a picturesque place in northwest Serbia. Our client is the Hipol company, one of the few producers of polypropylene in this region, with an annual capacity of 35,000 tons.

The photovoltaic power plant “Hipol”, on the ground, with the corresponding step-up transformer station, has an output active power of 2.97 MW. With this construction, our client acquires the status of a buyer-producer per the new Law on the Use of Renewable Energy Sources.

The designer ensured that the future land use could be for agricultural purposes. The electricity generated supplies the building’s systems via twenty-seven 110 kW inverters, which convert the direct current from the solar panels into alternating current for use.

A total of 6,156 solar panels will be installed, with an individual installed power of 580 Wp. The total installed DC power in solar panels is 3.57 MWp.

We oversee construction and electrical works. As with all our projects, Oktopaz closely monitors construction activities and ensures that our client receives timely updates on all relevant aspects of the project, including the use permit.

We are excited about the success of this project and confident that Oktopaz’s involvement will significantly help the advancement of green energy.
